Linene offers the greatest variety of fishing available in Mozambique. Productive estuary fishing, unmatched surf fishing and some of the finest offshore fishing to be found on the east coast of Africa. Linene is the ideal fishing destination for all levels of anglers, from beginners to experienced fishermen.
Linene is the ideal destination for those fishermen who enjoy a variety of styles of fishing, from light tackle and fly fishing, to casting big poppers or live baits into the surf for GT’s, jigging offshore for amberjack or trolling for sailfish and wahoo.
Adrian Westraadt, Linene’s lodge manager, has fished and guided in the Bazaruto Archipelago area for a number of years. Adrian has great experience in guiding clients to catch giant kingfish in particular. Adrian's knowledge and experience is certainly a great asset to anglers visiting the resort. Adrian will attempt to go out with anglers, if he is not able to do so, he will keep you informed at all times on where to fish and what tackle to use.
Linene Island Lodge supports catch and release, and encourages its guests to release their catch to fight another day. Adrian is an enthusiastic member of the Oceanographic Research Institute’s tagging programme and has tagged many species of fish in the area. It is, however, quite acceptable to keep a fish for the Chef to prepare your fresh catch for you that day.
